Assemblyman
John McGowan is the latest lawmaker to support the push to change the Mario M. Cuomo bridge back
to the Tappan Zee Bridge.
He says
changing the name is the right path forward to reflect the Hudson Valley's rich
history.
The bill now
has bi-partisan support with Democratic Sen. James Skoufis introducing the
bill in the Senate chamber.
It was
previously introduced by former Assemblyman Mike Lawler and former Sen.
Mike Martucci, but it failed to reach the governor's desk for approval.
