An arrest has been made following social media threats aimed at Brewster High School, with authorities tracing the source to a school district in Washington state, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
The office was alerted to the threatening message last Thursday, prompting Brewster schools to initiate a lockout.
Investigators discovered that the district in Washington had a name similar to Brewster, and the threatening message was being reposted by students there.
