An Army sergeant stationed in Iraq got an early Christmas present when he was allowed to be with his baby at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
Jeremy and Kimberly Warner are celebrating their first Christmas together with their 4-month-old daughter MaKayla. MacKayla was born with gastrochesis, a condition where the intestines are outside the body, requiring many surgeries. Kimberly Warner was in Texas at the base her husband was stationed out of. Jeremy Warner not only pressed his command to allow him to come home for the holidays, but to get his family moved back home to Poughkeepsie, where the couple?s families live.
Doctors say the prognosis is excellent for little MaKayla, and her parents are anxiously waiting for the day when they can bring her home for good. Jeremy Warner starts another tour of duty in Iraq in early January.
