Step into 19th century holiday cheer at the only fully domed eight-sided home in the world.
The Armour-Stiner Octagon House in Irvington opens for Victorian Christmas tours on Thursday, Nov. 14.
The historic home is now decked out with antique holiday decor and glimmering lights.
Visitors will get a sense of the season from the 1870s while learning the fascinating history of the unique house.
Its privately owned by preservation architect Joseph Pell Lombardi.
He acquired the home from the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1978.
At the time, it was in dire need of repair.
That's when Lombardi launched an enormous restoration process on the home.
It is work that continues today, with decades of help from his son, Michael.
Public tours year-round give glimpses of a one-of-a-kind house that holds stories beyond its eight walls.
Victorian Christmas tours are a unique experience in its own way.
"One of the things that I hope that people will take them when they leave the house after a tour is that warmth of
Christmas, that family spirit," said Michael Lombardi.
