Arlington High School junior identified as fatal stabbing victim

The superintendent of Arlington Schools sent a message on Facebook about the incident to the community naming Quraan Smith as the victim.

The 16-year-old who was killed in a stabbing after a football game in Dutchess County has been identified.
The superintendent of Arlington Schools sent a message on Facebook about the incident to the community naming Quraan Smith as the victim. He was a junior at Arlington High School.
The superintendent also stated that there will be a team of psychologists, social workers and counselors at the school to help students in need.
Poughkeepsie resident Nestor Ortiz-Ocampo, 18, was arrested and charged in the stabbing. He was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court and bail was set for $400,000 cash. Ortiz-Ocampo is being held at the Dutchess County Jail.
The incident happened Friday night after a football game at Arlington High School.
