Frustration is growing among residents and officials in Orange County about the information provided on flights with immigrants landing in the area.
Three planeloads of immigrants were flown last week from the Southern border in Texas to Orange County Airport.
State police say they assisted Montgomery police in stopping a charter bus carrying teen girls on Route 211 to ensure it wasn't a human trafficking incident.
Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus is asking for an open dialogue with whoever is responsible for the flights.
"I don't know where our federal officials are, our senators, our Congress members. Are they going to answer? Republican, Democrat, I don't care,” he says. “Somebody needs to really be forthcoming and honest with us as American citizens. And my parents are both immigrants, I'm not trying to get into the debate, but this is impacting us where we live."
Homeland Security told News 12 it is not involved with the flights to Montgomery.
