Construction is set to begin next week on a new athletic field at Ardsley High School, officials said.

The project is part of a $50 million capital plan approved in the district. It includes a synthetic turf field, new lights, and a track.

"We were able to secure the funding from the community to do this," said Matt Block, superintendent of Ardsley Schools. "This is the first project that we're starting, so it's really exciting."

More improvements are planned as part of the broader capital project.
