Ligia Ryan, a teacher's assistant, received the coveted award for her dedication and professionalism. She's described as compassionate, resourceful and committed to the people she serves.
Ryan has worked at ARC for 21 years, and has never taken a sick day during her tenure. She says that everyone she works with is special to her, and calls them her second family.
In addition to her work at ARC, Ryan has volunteered in her hometown of New Rochelle at the Troop Six Boy Scouts for the past 18 years.
