Dozens of people gathered Monday for the Eastchester Community Action Partnership's annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast.
The breakfast was held at the Reformed Church of Bronxville.
Attendees enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast, and newly elected County Executive George Latimer delivered the keynote address.
Latimer gave an inspirational message calling for unity, and recalled the time he visited the site where King was assassinated.
The theme of this year's breakfast was "I Believe."
That mantra was celebrated in song by a children's musical group and by Tuckahoe resident and singer Jina Billups.
Organizers say they chose the theme because in current times, it's important to remember the message of hope and peace often preached by King.
