Authorities are investigating a case of alleged animal abuse in which dozens of dogs and reptiles were left to die at a Port Chester home.
Approximately 20 dogs and dozens of reptiles were found at the Smith Street house. The animals were nursed back to health, but some of the reptiles were dead.
The SPCA of Westchester County says it was alerted to the situation by a call from Port Chester police.
The SPCA is investigating the case and working to track down the owner.
