Two quick-thinking Yonkers police officers are credited with arrest of a man wanted for a brutal murder in Maryland.
Officers Neil Cromwell and Louis Cepeda, of the plain clothes anti-crime unit, were out on patrol Friday at 5:30 p.m. when they observed a group of men. Officer Cromwell recognized one of the men from a wanted picture in his patrol car. The two officers then took Ravon Leonard Watson into custody.
Police say Watson and three others are wanted in connection with a shooting homicide in Maryland on August 11. Watson is being held at a Yonkers jail, waiting extradition to Maryland, where he'll face a judge.
