ALERT CENTER: Teen shot, seriously injured in Wyandanch, police say

Police say officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired on Parkway Boulevard, near Russell Street, in Wyandanch at 2:37 p.m.

Police say a Brentwood teen was shot and seriously injured in Wyandanch on Sunday afternoon.
Police say officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired on Parkway Boulevard, near Russell Street, in Wyandanch at 2:37 p.m.
Responding officers located shell casings and evidence of a shooting, but there were no victims on scene.
Approximately 20 minutes later, a hospital reported a teenager with a gunshot wound in the emergency room.
The 17-year-old male was dropped off at the hospital with serious injuries by several men in a 2013 Toyota RAV4.
The vehicle, which had previously been reported stolen, was located abandoned and with bullet holes in Bay Shore at approximately 7 p.m.
Police are asking anyone with information on to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
