A mother, accused of taking and hiding her daughter after losing custody, will face a judge today.
Kimberly Cooper Shultis, mother of Paislee Shultis, is due back in Saugerties Town Court this afternoon.
Kimberly, Paislee's father, Kirk Shultis Jr., and Paislee's grandfather, Kirk Shultis Sr., are facing criminal charges after the 6-year-old was found alive by police last month in the family's Saugerties home -- hidden inside a makeshift crawlspace beneath a stairwell.
Police say Paislee was 4 years old when the family abducted her in 2019, after losing custody to the girl's grandmother.
Kimberly Shultis is charged with custodial interference and endangering the welfare of a child.
