It was business as usual Thursday at the Westchester County Airport despite the current concerns regarding Ebola.
Some passengers News 12 spoke with said they were taking some extra precautions. Others said they wouldn't let fear keep them from getting on board.
Daryl Jackson, of Michigan, said he was not concerned about boarding a flight back home, despite the news that a second nurse infected with Ebola from Dallas took a commercial flight to Cleveland one day before she tested positive for Ebola.
"I'm not too concerned, since it's all based in like Dallas, and I know where they're flying into," he said.
Mark Webber, of Darien, Connecticut, says there is a big learning curve right now. He says the upside may be that now there will be some increased awareness, and that anyone who has come into contact with the virus will be more scrutinized and quarantined.
Ebola has already claimed the lives of 4,500 people in West Africa. It is spread through bodily fluids and is not airborne, but can live on surfaces for several hours.
