The New York State Attorney General has announced the conviction of nine members of a "gun-and-drug trafficking ring" in Dutchess County.
The ringleader of this operation has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, while the primary firearm supplier will serve 40 years.
Seven other members of the group are still awaiting sentencing.
Officials revealed that the group was involved in the sale of "ghost guns" — firearms without serial numbers — and counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with lethal amounts of fentanyl.
