Students and animal activists protested a performance by the Royal Hanneford Circus in White Plains on Sunday.
As acrobats, jugglers and animals took the stage inside the County Center, Pace University students and members of the group Animal Defender of Westchester rallied against the use of live elephants in the show.
The group wants the state to pass legislation banning elephants from circuses.
The Royal Hanneford Circus says it doesn't own the elephants, but that the animals are treated humanely and properly cared for.
