The Rockland mother accused of poisoning her son on purpose had a hearing in Westchester County Court this morning.
In a brief appearance, a judge refused to dismiss the murder case against Lacey Spears.
Spears pleaded not guilty in June to murder and manslaughter charges. Prosecutors say she gave her son, Garnett, deadly doses of sodium through a feeding tube while the two lived in Chestnut Ridge. Garnett died in January at the age of 5.
Authorities believe Spears may be suffering from Munchausen by proxy, making her son sick on purpose for attention.
