A standout wrestler from Valley Central High School was celebrated in Albany this week.

Assembly Member Brian Maher presented Luke Satriano with an award at the state Capitol.

Satriano won state titles in both 2023 and 2024.

He also holds the distinction of being only the third Valley Central High School wrestler to achieve this feat in the school's history spanning over 60 years.

Satriano will next compete in Las Vegas for an opportunity to become a USA World team member and represent the U.S. in overseas world championships.
