Rep. Pat Ryan took his
oath of office at West Point on Sunday, becoming the first West Point graduate
to represent the Academy in Congress.
The oath was
administered by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who nominated Ryan to
West Point more than
two decades ago. "It's a tremendous
honor to be here. Almost 20 years after I graduated, to be at West Point, to be
the first graduate to represent the Academy in Congress - I feel a tremendous
weight of responsibility that comes with that," said Ryan.
