Hundreds of enthusiastic participants gathered for the ninth annual North Rockland Sports and Law Enforcement Day, a charitable event organized by North Rockland athletes.
This year's event proved to be a resounding success, as it raised over $80,000 in support of Stand Up to Cancer, Friends of Karen, and the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
Remarkably, the roots of this philanthropic endeavor trace back to nine years ago when third graders at Stony Point Elementary School initiated the charity event.
Since then, it has grown into a cherished tradition, uniting the community in a shared commitment to making a positive impact in the fight against cancer.
