Emergency phone lines in Westchester and Putnam counties are working again after going down Thursday.
Outages occurred between 3:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., during which time 911 calls from landlines weren't reaching emergency service center operators in Valhalla. Cellphone calls to 911 were working.
Authorities say the problem was with Verizon's services.
Verizon did not respond to a News 12 request for comment.
