$52 million project will turn Rye building into New York Blood Center

A 187,000 square-foot facility on Midland Avenue in Rye will be converted into a New York Blood Center following the approval of a $52 million bond for the renovation of the former Avon headquarters.
The transformation, facilitated by Westchester's Local Development Corporation, aims to repurpose the property into testing and research laboratories.
The project is anticipated to take 12 to 18 months to complete.
