The family of a missing Orange County girl is making a renewed push for answers — now offering a $5,000 reward for information as the case stretches into its second year.

Four-year-old Alexandra De La Mora Gomez has been missing since November 2024, when authorities say her mother took her during a custody dispute. They were last seen leaving their New Hampton apartment.

Authorities say Alexandra’s father, Michael LaMarca, has full custody of the child, and that her mother, Yahaira De La Mora Gomez, is in violation of a family court order requiring the child to be turned over to him. According to LaMarca, the two were never married or lived together and had a brief relationship before Alexandra was born.

Authorities say Alexandra may have been traveling with her half-brother, Alexander, who has a different father. Officials say Yahaira De La Mora Gomez has full custody of the boy, which is why he is not considered missing. Investigators have said Alexandra may have been taken to Mexico, but her exact whereabouts remain unknown.

Now, four months after News 12 last spoke with the family during the holiday season, they say they are still getting no updates and are hoping the reward will bring in new leads.

“We are just trying what we can now to get the word out to get her back,” said Alexandra’s grandmother, Nancy LaMarca.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says there is an active warrant for the arrest of Alexandra’s mother. The FBI is also investigating.

Alexandra’s father says after more than a year, the uncertainty is overwhelming.

“At this point, any information, I’ve been going at it for a long time and I need something. My daughter needs something,” he said.

He is urging anyone who may recognize Alexandra or thinks they may have seen her to come forward.

“If you see her or anyone you think is her, the FBI is happy to take the tips and follow up on them and see if we can find her,” he said.

He says not knowing what his daughter is going through has been the hardest part.

“It’s not knowing, it causes a lot of worrying. You don’t know if she’s eating OK, if she’s even sleeping on a bed. I don’t know where she’s sleeping. It’s horrible,” he said.

Anyone with information about Alexandra’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at 845-291-4033, the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI, or submit a tip online at fbi.tips.gov. Tipsters can also contact the family directly at Bring.Alexandra.home@gmail.com.
