Four Mount Vernon families are displaced after a car fire destroyed their multifamily home Sunday morning.
News 12 was told that a car burst into flames around 5:30 a.m. and spread to the back of the home, located on Union Avenue.
Mount Vernon fire crews and the Yonkers Fire Department worked to extinguish the flames.
The Red Cross is assisting the families with temporary housing.
The cause of the car fire is being investigated.
