A 3-year old girl from Kosovo is now in Westchester preparing to undergo life-saving heart surgery.
The nonprofit organization "Gift of Life" packed the ball room at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown this weekend for a 50s-themed benefit to help pay for the care of hundreds of other children.
Even little Enia, just a week before her surgery, was making the rounds. "It's pretty special, because she's a really sweet kid, very outgoing, very nice. If she didn't have this surgery, her chances of making through adulthood is probably 50/50," says "Gift of Life" Board Member Bill Currie.
Enia's surgery is scheduled for Friday at the Westchester Medical Center's Children's Hospital.
News 12's Tim Cassidy was the emcee of the event.
