Three people were injured overnight in a three-vehicle crash involving an ambulance in Orange County.
Police say a black minivan broke down just before midnight Sunday and pulled over on the side of Route 17 in Goshen. The two people inside the minivan got out and stood by the driver's side door. Police say a 2013 Honda driving on the entrance ramp then hit the two people standing outside the minivan.
Officials say the Honda swerved into the middle of Route 17 and was starting to back up when it was hit by an ambulance transporting a patient.
The two victims who were struck suffered fractures and multiple broken bones. They were flown to Westchester Medical Center, where they remain in serious but stable condition.
An EMT in the ambulance suffered minor injuries.
