3 arrested in Mount Vernon after police chase

A late night foot chase by police ended with three arrests and a handgun being confiscated. Police say officers started chasing a group of young people, likely teenagers, in Yonkers just after 10 p.m.

A late night foot chase by police ended with three arrests and a handgun being confiscated.
Police say officers started chasing a group of young people, likely teenagers, in Yonkers just after 10 p.m. yesterday. The chase went into Mount Vernon, where at least three people were arrested outside Hamilton Elementary School in the area of North High and Oak streets.
Witnesses tell News 12 a handgun was found, but say it was not fired. 
There are no injuries to report
Police have not released the identities of the suspects or why they were chased. Police say they are still looking for another suspect. 
Last night's violence did not disrupt the festivities of a graduation ceremony held at the Hamilton Elementary School Tuesday.
