2h agoA second Town of Kent police dog has died in just a week.
Police say retired K-9 Radar died from an aggressive illness.
He took a final ride in a patrol car escorted by fellow officers.
Radar started work in 2013 and retired in 2022, with a full career recovering drugs, catching felons and reuniting lost loved ones.
Police say he was known for his gentle heart.
Earlier this week, Town of Kent police also mourned an unexpected death of 7-year-old K-9 Maverick after an unexpected medical emergency.
Police say they're thankful for both dogs' service and that both will be truly missed.
