Health officials say it's only for those who register or are showing symptoms of COVID-19. "We are not accepting walk-ins, absolutely not. Don't encourage people to show up. We have a registration process. We have a strict screening criteria. To be allowed, you must have doctor's recommendation or showing symptoms," says Eliezer Gurkov, a MedRite physician's assistant.
Drivers are asked to keep their windows closed and show photo ID on arrival.
MedRite health officials are expecting this test site to remain open as long as supplies last.
If you are showing symptoms at home right now, you are asked to call the hotline at 845-271-6300 to see if you meet the criteria to get tested at this site.
State officials urge those waiting on long lines to go to the county's second testing center in the parking lot of the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area. Call 888-364-3065 for an appointment.
