Westchester man sentenced for shoving stranger onto Brooklyn subway tracks in 2024

A man was arrested on the set of "Miami Vice '85" in Brooklyn on Friday night after causing a disturbance, according to law enforcement sources.

The NYPD says 23-year-old Alex Perez, of Brooklyn, allegedly pulled a knife on a 42-year-old man around 11:15 p.m. near Avenue N and McDonald Avenue.

According to police, Perez and the victim were involved in an argument on the set, during which Perez allegedly took out the weapon.

Investigators say the 42-year-old feared for his safety.

Officers took Perez into custody "without incident," according to detectives.

Police say they recovered a knife at the scene.

Perez is charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
