AOC demands accountability as prosecutors reopen Cornell gang rape investigation

Bronx Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is speaking out after a district attorney reopened an investigation into claims that a Cornell University student was gang raped at a fraternity house in 2024.
The move comes after the woman filed a lawsuit against Cornell University, seven former fraternity members, the Chi Phi fraternity itself and others.
Court documents show one of the men named in the lawsuit has ties to Bethel, CT.
Ocasio-Cortez said, "I want to be clear that the culture of rape, sexual assault, pedophilia is protected in elite institutions across the United States, and including Cornell University in this instance."
Cornell says it supports the decision to reopen the investigation.
