Orange County drug trafficker gets decadeslong sentence

A longtime Westchester law enforcement official is retiring this weekend.

Chris McNerney is stepping down as chief of the Larchmont Police Department after serving in the role for the past four and a half years.

Before joining Larchmont, McNerney spent 26 years with the Greenburgh Police Department.

He also served in the Westchester County District Attorney's Office during his law enforcement career.

Larchmont officials say Lt. Joe Paprota will succeed McNerney as police chief.
