The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed a third death of a detainee connected to the immigration detention facility in Newark.
Officials say that Jose Chajon-Raxon suffered seizure-like activity one day after arriving at Delaney Hall in July. They say he was taken to the hospital and released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody three days later.

ICE says the agency was not notified of Chajon-Raxon’s death.
Democratic Rep. Rob Menendez is accusing ICE of using its release policy to avoid accountability. He is demanding answers and transparency.
He and other lawmakers are calling for Delaney Hall to be closed.
