Man slashed in the face on 4 train platform in Fordham

Police say the 26-year-old was approached by a man who slashed him on the right side of his face.

A 24-year-old man was slashed in the face while on the train platform in Fordham.

The attack happened at the Fordham Road subway station at 3 p.m. on June 16.

Police say the 26-year-old was approached by a man who slashed him on the right side of his face.

The weapon used is still unclear at this time.

Investigators say the man fled on foot after the attack.

The 26-year-old victim was transported by EMS to St Barnabas Hospital and is expected to be OK.
