A rollover crash left a driver trapped inside an overturned vehicle Sunday afternoon, prompting a coordinated rescue response in Bergenfield.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of River Edge Road and Woods Avenue, where police found the driver unable to get out of the vehicle.
Firefighters and rescue personnel worked to stabilize the car while other responders climbed inside to provide care and assess injuries.
Officials said the rescue required careful coordination to prevent the vehicle from shifting as specialized equipment was used to free the driver.
Once extricated, the driver was taken to a hospital.
No information on the driver's condition has been released, and the Bergenfield Police Department is looking into the cause.
