Easter events planned across New Jersey this weekend, from Princeton to the Jersey Shore

Communities across the state are preparing for Easter with egg hunts, bunny visits, parades, rides and family-friendly activities.

Many towns across New Jersey are preparing for Easter this weekend with special events for families.

Terhune Orchards in Princeton is hosting a Bunny Trail event featuring a treasure hunt, crafts, pony rides, live music and food. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nutley is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza Saturday afternoon at Glotzbach Park. Families can enjoy bunny tractor rides, farm animals, face painting and an Easter egg hunt. Children will also have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, who will be handing out candy-filled Easter eggs. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

A Jersey Shore tradition is also returning this weekend with the Easter Parade at Jenkinson’s in Point Pleasant Beach. The boardwalk is expected to be filled with people dressed in their Sunday best. Registration begins Sunday morning in front of Joey Tomato’s, and the parade starts at 1 p.m.

Steel Pier in Atlantic City is also getting into the Easter spirit. Beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, guests will get a special visit from the Easter Bunny and can also enjoy face painting and a goodie bag giveaway. To celebrate the pier’s opening weekend, guests can also take advantage of a buy one, get one free ride ticket book sale.
