Drivers say potholes are out of control across Brooklyn

Even though some drivers say potholes are just the result of a long winter, they hope the city fixes them soon.

In Canarsie, News 12 spotted larges ones sitting in the middle of several streets, including Flatlands Ave. and East 80th St. Drivers say hitting one can do serious damage to your car. But many of them don't get seen until it's too late.

"You really can't judge how deep the hole is, but you try to avoid it," said Mark Holloman. "You really don't want to swerve too much in and out of your lane because it might cause an accident. So the only thing you can do is slow down."
