A Peekskill painter-for-hire has pleaded guilty in the rape of an 11-year-old girl.

Prosecutors say 60-year-old Anselmo Yambay Peña attacked the child in February 2024 after being hired to paint the family's apartment.

He faces 17 years in state prison when he is sentenced next month. Peña is currently being held at the Westchester County Jail.
