Community remembers Marine from Rockland County killed in Hawaii motorcycle crash

A 22-year-old U.S. Marine from Rockland County, who died in a motorcycle crash, is being remembered.

A procession drove up Broadway in Nyack Thursday evening to bring the Valley Cottage native to the Hannemann Funeral Home.
News 12 spoke with some of Barnard's close friends and teammates who played hockey with him.
"I never had brothers, but joining that team and having Ryan, he definitely was a brother," says Michael Socher.
"It is a tragic loss for the community," says Town of Clarkstown Councilman Michael Graziano.
A wake is scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Nyack.
A funeral Mass will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church in Congers.
