Frank Pepe's Pizza celebrated it's 100th birthday in New Haven.

Pepe immigrated to Connecticut from Italy in 1909.

He opened his first pizzeria in June 1925.

State and city officials dedicated the city intersection of Wooster Street and Brown Street to "Frank and Filomena Pepe Corner."

"Now therefore do I, as Mayor as the City of New Haven, hereby honor Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana," said Mayor Justin Elicker. "We as the City New Haven join with members of the community in honoring Frank Pepe's on this anniversary. Congratulations!"

Pepe's grandchildren were also at the celebration. They say they're proud to carry on the family legacy.
