A man from the United Kingdom pleaded not guilty in Rockland County court Wednesday to several charges that stemmed from a crash in Blauvelt in July 2022.

The charges against Thomas Robb include assault and leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury.

Prosecutors shared in court on Wednesday that they believe Robb used his twin brother's passport to leave the country after he made bail.

The Rockland County District Attorney's Office worked with the Department of Justice to have Robb extradited.

"We want to stand for the proposition that all people are to be presumed innocent, but you have to face your charges," said District Attorney Thomas Walsh. "And you cannot be rewarded for fleeing our jurisdiction and trying to avoid justice."

Judge Kevin Russo ordered Robb to be remanded to Rockland County Jail without bail.

As News 12 reported in 2022, Orangetown police said Robb drove the wrong way on Greenbush Road and then onto Route 303 when he hit one car that hit another.

Two children were critically injured.

Robb and his passengers fled the scene but were eventually found by police.
