41-year-old man arrested in police-involved shooting in Poughkeepsie

The state Attorney General's Office is investigating a police-involved shooting in Poughkeepsie that resulted in a man's arrest.

Officers say 41-year-old Kevin Fitzpatrick was armed with a gun outside the Fallkill Commons apartment complex.

Fitzpatrick allegedly pointed the gun at officers and officers fired at him.

A second gun was allegedly found on Fitzpatrick.

He was hospitalized for injuries and has been listed in stable condition.

Police say a bystander was also struck, but is expected to be OK.

Fitzpatrick faces charges, including reckless endangerment and menacing.
