Ossining voters head to polls to decide on $210M bond proposal to upgrade, expand schools
The money would go toward a new middle school building, new classrooms at the high school and elementary school, plus cafeteria expansions.

Ossining residents are going to the polls today to vote on a massive $210 million bond proposal.
The money would go toward a new middle school building, new classrooms at the high school and elementary school, plus cafeteria expansions.
The district also purchased a church in 2022 that's right next to the high school and they'd like to renovate it into a theater and classroom for high school arts instruction.
The money would also go toward safety improvements across the district. School officials say their buildings are extremely overcrowded and they desperately need this bond to pass. In addition, they are utilizing state aid funding, as well as reserves and current budget allocations so there would be no tax increase.
Polls set up at the Ossining High School gymnasium are open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.
