Thousands of homeowners and businesses will likely start their weekend without power after the remnants of Debby caused significant damage to the Hudson Valley.

According to Con Edison's outage map, the bulk of the outages were centered in Eastchester, Scarsdale and White Plains.

These issues were caused by strong winds toppling over trees that crushed cars, blocked roads and pulled down utility lines.

Henry Kapoor, 7, of Tarrytown lost power in his family's home for a few hours on Friday night.

It gave him some time to be introspective.

"I was laying on my bed thinking about what life would be like if I had zero power in my whole life and zero internet," he said.

Other municipalities including Yorktown, Ossining and New Castle also suffered a lot of outages.

Restoration times weren't immediately available for most repairs as utility crews worked throughout the night to get the power back on.
