Multiple people were injured following a Monsey Trails charter bus crash in West Milford, New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the bus was traveling south on East Shore Road when it struck a tree causing one of the branches to break off and enter the passenger compartment of the bus.

Police say two female passengers were seriously injured. One was flown to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and the other was flown to Hackensack University Hospital.

Three other female passengers were transported to Chilton Medical Center with minor injuries, according to authorities.

East Shore Road was closed for several hours but has since been reopened.

The condition of those injured was not immediately available.
