A waterfront Rockland County restaurant is closing after a decade in Piermont.

Owner Denis Whitton shared a message to customers online, citing the pandemic as a big factor in the decision.

He says pre-pandemic sales never rebounded and it became even more expensive to operate.

Eight to 10 weekends of rain this season alone kept them from bringing in the funds needed to operate next year.

The restaurant is still open and will hold a big goodbye party Friday, Dec. 22 with 50% off.

The owners thank all their supporters and team and hope people will visit their new speakeasy restaurant, 623 Social, in Sparkill.
