The U.S. Supreme Court has overturned the conviction of a former aide to former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Joseph Percoco, of South Salem, was convicted of taking more than $300,000 in bribes.

In a unanimous decision, the court ruled that the money Percoco accepted came while he was managing the governor’s re-election bid, not when he was serving as a top aide.

He served four years in prison and a halfway house before being released last month.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment on the decision.
