State landmarks were lit up in blue on Tuesday to honor the lives of 55 police officers killed in the line of duty
One of those officers was Yonkers Detective Sergeant Frank Gualdino.
He was driving his police car in uniform when he was struck head on by another vehicle in December.
A proclamation was also signed by the governor declaring May 9 Police Memorial Day.
