The 2019 Christmas tree for Rockefeller Center will come from the village of Florida in Orange County.
Rockefeller Center revealed today on Instagram that the Norway Spruce will be cut on Thursday, Nov. 7 and arrive at Rockefeller Center on Saturday, Nov. 9.
After being wrapped with more than 50,000 multi-colored, energy efficient LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski star, the tree will be lit during the live broadcast “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be on display until Friday, Jan. 17, 2020.
Last year’s tree came from Walkill. After the Christmas season, the trees are typically milled into planks of lumber and used by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh to build homes.
