Two people were rescued from a vehicle that crashed in Ramapo early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. at the intersection of North Airmont Road and the Thruway off-ramp, according to first responders.

The two occupants were trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication. They were transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

Further details about the crash were pending as of Thursday evening.
